With luminaries like Dinda leading the bowling attack they never had any chance to begin with. Pune being next year or not is a moot point...if they survive next year and csk comes back then Dhoni is somebody else's headache...if they do not then too much baggage to carry from this year for a corporate from the backlash from this step from crazy fans(a decent sample set of that stereotype is available on this very forum). India lost their only test in the last 2 yrs there. Pitch was horrid. Pune warriors were a disaster. Each year they sucked with different team captains and squads(Ganguly yuvraj Matthews etc) and now RPS is also going the same path. Diff captains captained Dhoni, smith, rahane etc. Baring odd matches, no luck. They have one of the worlds best batsmen in smith. They have the worlds best bowler in Tahir. The core of the side is quite good. Yet they don't seem to perform.
