  1. 1. Should BCCI send the team to Champions trophy?

    • Yes, Opting out isn't the solution. BCCI deserves its share but we shouldn't opt out.
    • No, do not send the team.

Bcci should implore every board to see reason.

They want growth of the game, assured profits and revenue share from icc. Then they need to trust bcci to grow the game and sustain it in India the most important market.

They run the risk of loosing their share of the revenue if Indian boards fiscal spending sees any pressure.

Icc is just a made up org no nation states behind it, it has served its purpose its time to launch an international cricket board based out of India.

Tics you need to understand the politics at play here. Its not so simple and straightforward.

BCCI are basically being fleeced by ECB and CA and if it takes a boycott of an ICC tournament then that's how it should be.

If the other boards were concerned about the welfare of the game, they shouldn't have pulled this sneaky move and put BCCI in this position.

They were fully aware this was a real possibility when they redrew the contract, now they must face the consequences of their actions.

The reality is, BCCI has done a tremendous amount to commercialise the sport and bring in huge sponsors and deserve fair compensation to fund the sport and facilities in the country. Just 10 years ago fans moaned about conditions of the grounds and their facilities in India. Now look at the difference. Those things don't happen for free. If we want to continue that improvement and growth, funding is required.

Its absurd despite having to support more grounds and cricketers than all the other countries combined (I pulled this from my ass, but I doubt its far from the truth) and bringing in all that revenue we should take such a small cut from the coffers

Still the share they are getting is a lot to fund the grounds, it is a not that they are getting peanutus, they are still getting  a lot of funds.

Again like I have written thousand times earlier here, BCCi does deserve its share but how does us pulling out help us? Does that mean we will get the share back fully? Thats just assumption that we will get the share we want.

In fact we might be at huge loss after pulling out, who will cover that cost, right away? These are my concerns.

Again, BCCi deserves what it has asked, but if we pull out, please let me know the damages which we will have and its consequences and that you are very sure we will get the full share later since ICC will come begging.

ICC obviously don't see or care for the value of the Indian market. A boycott would show them how much their profits will be hurt as they don't meet the numbers they promised to broadcasters, who then promised to sponsors. Also it will put ICC in an awkward position, because the numbers proposed to other boards won't be delivered, then the boards will turn. It's a risk ICC and the other boards are willing to take.

and a risk BCCI and India should ensure stays unmitigated and becomes an issue with impacts that are unacceptable for the rest of the national boards.

No doubt that it will be an uncomfortable situation for ICC without India at first the moment BCCI pulls out but my thing is for how long will this drama continue? India will anways be hurt and by this even though ICC would too.

Anyways, screw cricket. I am going to follow USA Cricket and just Tennis, the best sport:cheer:

Best is to send, a completely new team ,instead of the regular team and tell them to play fearlessly and enjoy urself.

And see them lose 0-3 and forever tarnish our record in an ICC tourney? No thanks.

I didn't really like how the ICC handled this matter, and that both Australia and England came out without a scratch. To hell with this, I really wanna see ICC on their knees begging in front of us. Boycott CT

I paid £130 for 2 CT tickets and I am really contemplating boycotting it. Time has come to show the rest of the world that "hamaare chaddi mein bhi daag hai" instead of meekly surrendering to the whims and fancies of the goras.

Seriously though, are the ICC really so damn blind? For the CT they have released tickets in batches and I have waited in excess of 60 mins each time to buy a ticket only for India match tickets to sell out within seconds of the website working. You can still buy tickets for every single match including the semis and the finals but just not the India games. Are they even watching this trend? Why are the ICC so hell bent on alienating Indian Cricket?

Settle for 450M and autonomy in bilateral tours. Grow IPL and settle scores later.

If not, boycott CT, arm twist sponsors, and financially nuke ICC.

Global cricket revenues are primarily generated from attention theft and personal consumption of Indian cricket fans. BCCI has IPL to weather the storm.

And, when the dust settles, make that traitor Manohar pay for his single-minded hatred of BCCI and India.
