YCCC Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 (edited) Please bring that team to England WI. Especially Gayle, Narine, Pollard, Samuels, Brathwaite, even if just for the ODIs and T20. What I don't get is why the stars will play T20 for the Windies but nothing else. If it's about money, as I understand, then for cricket's sake WICB pay them what they want for the other forms too. A potential team of Gayle, Lewis, Hope, Samuels, Pollard, Brathwaite, Holder, Narine, Nurse, Joseph, Taylor would put bums on seats and test England a bit more. Or swap the second spinner (Nurse) for Mohammed who did well against England in that short ODI series in the spring. Anyway I know it won't happen so this is all just fantasy and wishful thinking. You need a batsman who can start hitting right away and also has the ability to score quickly on different type of surfaces and most preferably hit big sixes. I think Raina is still a very good bet but if not him, then some newbie like Nitish Rana, Samson or Deepak Hooda can be tried.
