Different people will have different opinions about issues. It is natural.

Because gratitude is one of the most common feelings in humans.  You do not plan for it to set in.   It comes naturally.

 

Kumble is a huge personality in Indian cricket.  To top that, he was very successful as a coach.  This altercation between Kohli and Kumble was a huge thing because of the stature of the people involved.   It is highly probable that most senior players backed Kohli in this.  If they had stayed neutral or opposed Kohli,  I don't think Kumble would have left.  Quite a few newspaper reports have also suggested this.

 

We are still in the aftermath stage of the altercation. We maybe seeing some side-effects of that.   If nothing changes after 4 months or so, I will be forced to change my opinion.

Maybe but He didn't play in the Newzealand series when Kumble was coach and Dhoni was captain.

 

But made his comeback straight into the team for Kohli first series as captain against England.

He would have been picked earlier too but he had his wedding for which he was out for a while and was away before that due to injury which also kept him out of the t20 world cup.

 

 

To think Kohli is the only reason why Yuvi was picked in squad which many have assumed, is basically kidding to yourself. Selectors like him as much or liked him then.  Yuvi was always in scheme of things among selectors ever since he did well in domestic cricket recently again before the England series.

 

No one has denied that he is wrong in picking him again and again over Pant in this series but he is favorite of Kohli just like he is favorite of selectors and also Dhoni who kept picking him in every t20 world cup.

 

Its an age old issue in Indian cricket system, both past and current selectors are culprits as much as the captains,  where Yuvi and many popular senior players might get dropped but they keep their reputation up and get selected again ahead of many other young players in Indian cricket.

So how does it prove kumble didn't change his mind later but Kohli didn't budge on letting go of his buddy? Wasn't it kohli who made sure Yuvraj gets into RCB when he was doing jacksh!t. Even if we assume Yuvraj got back to the team due to Kumble alone (which is idiotic to assume given Kohli's nature) he could possibly not want them later but kohli did and hence the problem between them.

If Kumble is the hard taskmaster according to the players, he would never allow someone with fitness levels of Yuvraj. 

 

Yuvi might have returned due to Kumble but we don't know how Kumble felt about the long rope given to him.
