gakgupta Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Injuries crippled him. Rahul Dravid has huge hopes on him. Infact, he preferred vijay over Hardik. Shankar pulled out from Australia A tour which helped hardik to make huge amends in his technique and hardik (more opr less) is regular in Indian test side. Now Vijay didn't played this SA A entire tour.. See how fate plays with few players.... Manish Pandey was ahead of Jadhav last year but now jadhav is regular in Indian one day side and same applies to hardik / shankar case tweaker 1
express bowling Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 (edited) Same with the injury-history of Nathu Singh. Had a great Ranji match, excellent VH Trophy and superb SMA Trophy in early 2016 Grabs headlines for his speed and top domestic performances..... got a big IPL contract in 2016 Is injured during the IPL 2016, not a single match for him Comes back with a top 2016 Duleep Trophy game, 6 wickets with the pink ball bowling quick. Gets injured again in Ranji season 2016/17 Is fit again, gets a moderate IPL contract 2017 Plays 2 matches in IPL 2017, bowls superbly and is injured again Is called to NCA as one of the 7 short-listed pacers to be groomed for the national team The other 6 get into India A team.... Nathu misses out. Edited August 23, 2017 by express bowling Mosher, putrevus and tweaker 1 2
tweaker Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Shankar is already in the list of selectors as he is always selected for A teams. He should look after his fitness as he always gets injured. express bowling 1
Vilander Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 So the title could have ween, Sad to see Vijayshankars fitness levels are not living up to his talent.
Pollack Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Nathu and Shankar: Two amazing talent who will anyway make into team if they remain fit. Nathu's timing of injuries are indeed fateful.
The Dark Horse Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Is he ruled out of the tournament or is it over?

He seems to be like Munaf and Shami with a laid-back attitude.
rkt.india Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Check out the physique of pacer Israr Azeem from UP. He is not regular even in UP ranji team but can burn even the best of the models by his physique.

Shami atleast has added a lot of muscles and is sustaining high speeds even during his last spell of the day, meaning he has worked on his stamina. Edited August 27, 2017 by express bowling

NareshK Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 (edited) Being a seam bowling all rounder is not a joke. Injuries are part of their career. That's why there have only been a handful of seamer all rounders who have had long successful careers. But they make a huge difference to the team in terms of balance and options. Indian team which won world cup in 83 and Aussie team which won 99,03,07 WC had a lot of All rounders. Even Indian team which did really well in 03 WC had Ganguly, Sehwag, Sachin, Yuvraj, Dinesh Mongia who could all bowl. In current team, all batsmen are specialists which means if one or two bowlers have a bad day, you have nothing to fall back on. Edited August 27, 2017 by NareshK

If he has lots of big muscles with less body fat percentage, well toned body, a very big chest with puffy nipples pointing down, he is most probably juiced. Edited August 27, 2017 by Pollack

Most pacers are fitness freaks these days.
Vilander Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 The place Vijay shankar is from ethinically in TN, i have seen really well built folks during my college days. Easy volleyball players and atheletes, remarkably tall i mean greater than 6' 3". But often poor food habits and muscle loss after early 20s.
