Free speech has its own boundaries ofcourse

Once or twice is also ok but pages dedicated with posters posting the same stuff is boring and beneath them Otherwise what's the difference between the fans that posted on Sharapovas page and the ones here We have not won an overseas Test in over 3 years. We have been whitewashed twice since 2011. There is immense corruption (probably including fixing, betting at some level in IPL) in Indian cricket. Srinivasan is the worst BCCI Prez ever and is not ready to give up control of BCCI. And our Captain has not performed at all in overseas Tests in the last few years - put all these factors together and you get the reason why Dhoni is criticized so much. Its irritation and frustration more than anything else. Though I do agree that the language used against some cricketers can be better.

If the point of moderation is about controlling trolling and encourage quality discussion how exactly is the nonsense abuse of cricketers will help? Would there be a thread existed this long if someone named it Bhuvi is a B1tch? If one thinks homosexuality of Dhoni encourages quality posting then not sure about where we draw line about free speech and trolling and just plain abuse

Sachin bashing happened for years on this board before threads were started to be locked. Dhoni bashing has hardly gone for 6 months as people are getting more and more disillusioned. Posters like VVS and Yoda were big Dhoni fans When you call any criticism as blind hate, which you are doing more and more with every post, what can one do. All I would say is, karma is a ***** and I am glad you and Yodasque are feeling a bit of what you put Sachin fans through for years, how it feels to hound fans of one player, constantly only criticize or abuse him, call him names, give his fans labels like Ista. Shoe is on the other foot now and it is not at all comfortable, is it?

Free speech has its own boundaries ofcourse On the contrary, IMO, greedy and selfish is the worst abuse a player can get, because it undermines the whole reason he plays for his country. It shows that whatever runs that player scores is for his own selfish reason and not for the country which is almost akin to betraying the country. Though I agree with you that some of the player abuse and words used are going overboard. This forum is more tolerant that most, but we will work to control this more from now

However, it gives a very bad impression about the quality on this forum to someone who plans to open a account here to get into sensible cricketing discussions. One or two trolls are expected on every forum, however personally i am surprised that there are so many trolls over here. The threads are really ridiculous to read not just against Dhoni, but against other players as well. On a well moderated forum half of the posters here would probably be permanently banned long time back. This is the worst moderated forum that i have been part of because of the content that i come across. No offense meant to anyone but the overall quality is really well below average. Sadly one has to come across such ridiculous threads just because one wants to discuss cricket on a forum.

It's just not Bhuvi versus Dhoni or Cook versus Jimmy. There have been some threads in past as well directed at other players. I have been part of relatively very well moderated forums before. Posters there would be ashamed to open such threads there such is the environment on forum in terms of quality,respect to other posters, proper language with out abuse or rare abuse (which gets ban). Yes, some cricketers were made fun of on the odd occasion even (but definitely not as severe trolling as here) . Here i guess there is a probability of troll post every 10 minutes on average. Lets not compare this forum with another forum which has troll thread, just to make this rampant trolling look priceless.
