Can Rahul, Vijay and Dhawan play in the same line-up if we play 6 specialist batsmen?

Not sure abt tests...but in ODIs Rahul should play as a wicket keeper batsman once MS retires. Rahul and Dhawan should open with Rohit at no.4

Lolz that could happen in T20 but never will happen in odis.. No way rohit will go down in odis for the rest of his carrier.. U dont fix what aint broken

Regarding OP, 

Vijay should be prefered over Dhawan on green pitches and Dhawan in all other conditions. (Rotation policy based on horses for courses)

From what i heard, he is technically very good batsmen....and gets those hard runs (just like pujara got the runs in the first test against SL)...

He plays well when your back is against the wall....bit like steve waugh....<BTW, i am not comparing him with steve at all>

Pandya is must no.6 outside SC.  Pujara , Kolhi , Rahane , makes up 3 , 4 and 5. There is no room for third opener in lineup unless someone is injured.

Hardik Pandya or Saga has to play at 6 or 7 on tours of SA, OZ,ENG, NZ. There is no place for Rohit or Shikhar at 6 as Saha will bat at 6 and Hardik at 7.

He averages 50 in fc. So defenitely is a specialist batsman. Technique also looks very solid. Can bowl few overs as well. But bowling is not as good as pandya.

Would rather play 5 bowlers, or one all rounder...

 

But if we are going in with 6 bats at home Rahul can bat at 3 , overseas think it should be another Batsman... A newbie if needed

Murli can only do an opener who absorbs the first couple of hrs..thats it. Other roles there are others that are better.

With Rahane's poor form atm, management might actually consider this if 6 batsmen are needed.
