Maybe flirt with the idea of Kuldeep for a few seconds, but then put that aside. Shankar can be 12th man, and showcase his abilities in the national team nets. The only way he makes it to the SA squad is if he's deemed to bring as much batting to the table as tailunt. And given VK's love for tailunt, that's extremely unlikely. Tailunt wud get his chance in last test were virat is rested . Many wud bring more batting then tailunt.........sunna hai ab to steyn bhi fit ho gaya hai Link to comment

jalebi_bhai
No need for 2 spinners on a green wicket. 5th bowler did very little in Kolkata. I would play V.Shankar since Bhuvi's loss will extend our tail. Rahul Vijay Pujara Kohli Rahane Saha Vijay Shankar Jadeja Shami Ishant Yadav Link to comment
rkt.india
i doubt Nagour and Delhi pitches can be as quick or bouncy as Eden. Eden is relaid intentionally to be a quick pitch. Soil was imported for that. Difficult to change inherent nature of Delhi soil. Nagpur was was relaid with mixed soil. Link to comment
rtmohanlal
rahul vijay pujara kohli rahane shankar saha jadeja- was a success so far in SAF as a bowler,so needs to be persisted to get enough practice as batsman to counter bouncy pitches in SAF. ashwin/kuldeep shami ishant Link to comment

Exactly right. Jadeja's batting and bowling are not good enough to do well in GREEN Mamba's..he failed in test1 both as a batsman and as a bowler.kohli had to bowl himself ahead of the Spinners , only showed how Unimpressive Spinners were on the green track. i think jadeja may no even fly to africa, CHAHAL is doing wonders and can turn even on green tracks, i will not be surprised if CHAHAL and Kuldeep are supported more in green tracks as jaddu and ashwin seem to be flopping on GREEN tracks and suceed big on spinning tracks. it is too much to believe that other countries will give us spinning tracks.
