Doesn’t seem peaceful when games being called off for religious fights

plus all terrorism and teams refusing to tour . This will be noted by big nations in world cricket , so they won’t be touring for a decade plus

Weren’t West Indies going to tour Pakistan now? There was thread here about this tour, and most said unlikely to happen

things have gone even more pear shaped in Pakistan...though no surprises, already let a terrorist free

Pakistan is not as bad as the news makes it sound. I was there for two months. The country feels far more safer than two years ago. This religious civil War will eventually end and things will be back to normal.

You say religious civil war . Sounds bad

teams camped in hotels . Plus I hear in big cities no one who is off note goes around town without security

Best of luck for your friends and family man. Hope your country does not let some radicals form political organizations. But all this to protect blasphemy law it looks like pak people want islamic rule, so does not look good from outside. May normal people prevail. Looks like mad max.

Can you give your insight on what the hey this means (quoting from the cricinfo story)?

The prevailing situation, as the board called it, began on Saturday, when police attempted to disperse a sit-in by a religious group at an interchange in Rawalpindi. They were unsuccessful in doing so, and the protests spread throughout the country

What religious group?  Sunnis? Shias? Ahmadis?

This is good going forward. Hopefully this protest brings more change in the peaceful country.

So you support this particular "protest"?
