Kohli averages 62 in Australia, 68 in South Africa and 71 in New Zealand. Why cannot be judged on that and we should look at the future when for Root you are looking at current records? They both have same number of matches (62 vs 63)

Kohli got inside 50+ average recently after stellar last 12 months, while Root has been in 50s for a while. Thats the only difference. I won’t say Root is on his way down, its just that Kohli is on his way up and it is upto both players to keep performing at the top level. Kohli has done well overseas barring England but we all know that every overseas is tough so if Kohli can keep scoring he might go easily beyond 55+ average.

Sehwag didn't play in 2014-15. I don't remember how he bowled in previous tours but in 2014-15 the pitches were very very flat. Ashwin still outbowled Lyon in the matches both played and he had a better outing than offies like Murali, Bhajji and Ajmal ever had. Even Swann except 2010-11 was mediocre there and quit midway during a series because he was being flogged. Aus isn't a place for offies, we must play Kuldeep there next year !!!
