vishalvirsingh
My dear fast bowler Lovers- there is a good news, as soon as Umesh and Varun touched 147 to 148K , they were fast tracked into INDIAN team even when MSD was the captain and though it was foolish of msd to play spinners in england and australia and let young varun sit on the bench. i feel varun being from jharkhand has been victimized and possibly msd messed up his career and also tried to mess up Umesh's career. Umesh was lucky that kohli picked him. Kohli is regularly playing Saini ahead of Umesh yadav and siraj and even giving him bowling ahead of the other 2 bowlers. he has himself missed a slip catch of the bowling of Saini. I think He appreciates and finds navdeep as a tough bowler and I feel navdeep is definitely going to fly to england. DHONI_FANN and Suhaan 2 Link to comment
express bowling
I hope Saini makes it to the World Cup squad as the 4th pacer ... on 15th April. His express pace, good accuracy, seam movement both ways and nasty bouncers can be very effective in the first 40 overs in ODIs played in England. And can add a different dimension to our attack. 57 wickets from only 37 List A matches ... average 28 ... SR 34 ... Economy rate of 5.01. He is both a wicket taker as well as an economical bowler in the 50 over format. And he has been playing successfully for our A-team for a long time. His death bowling skills may not be proven yet ... but we don't have any other pacer ( who is competing for the 4th pacer's slot ) who is a good death bowler. express bowling
KXIP scores 60 runs in the 6 powerplay overs. In this scenario, Saini bowls 2 overs for only 10 runs. Fastest 150 kph Average 146 kph Bowls with pace, bounce, accuracy and movement. This is what he can bring to the table. express bowling
Saini finishes with just 23 runs off his 4 overs. Some good slower balls and yorkers in the death overs. Edited April 13, 2019 by express bowling velu and nitinbwj 1 1 Link to comment

vishalvirsingh
Since Saini is there.. If Bhuvi or anyone is unfit... One of these four can be played. What's the point of taking these 4 fast bowlers.. Means they l be for net practice and won't be played. In case of injury one of 4 will come into final 15. Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
Bumrah and shammi are stretching themselves in IPL and these 2 are critical. I think kl Rahul will bat at no 3 or no 4 which is a better decision than to play vj Shankar at 4. Kedar at 5..msd at 6 then hardik 3 pacers n Kuldeep. Ishant and Umesh were outlier deliveries but mostly around 135-145 otherwise. Umesh in fact was in an over where he was being taken apart. But Saini/Aaron/Shami/Bumrah/Prasidh at 145+ definitely quickest grouping in South Asia all of those -- even folks like Thambi/Warrier/Siraj at 130s to low 140s have been consistent on pace with their normal accuracy rates, with Thambi and Aaron not getting enough games. express bowling 1 Link to comment
