nikred
City Slickers - 90s movie , Billy Crystal and friends from the city trip down the West in Arizona. I remember watching City Silckers 2, as a kid, and loving it. Never got to watch the first installment though. Franco Vazquez
I loved that movie but when you see the ending in which Hrithik is acting like a careless douche was a put off for me in that movie.

Which movie are you talking about? Krish 3 where Hrithik carelessly fought Kaal in the open city damaging many buildings? Or Lakshya, where Hrithik carelessly climbed a vertical cliff and eliminated an entire Pakistani position?

Franco Vazquez
There's another movie by Zoha Akhar, Dil Dhadakne Do. Rich family struggles. Anil Kapoor is on verge of being bankrupt and the next thing he does organize a ferry tour to European countries. Cricketics and Peshust

In fact it is now one my favorite bollywood movies I also liked Dil Chahta in the past which I feel changed the Indian cinema on the whole. Any other movies in India cinema which are equally good or of similar kind. I would love to watch and need some recommendations Also what do you feel about the aforementioned movies. Cheers when you say Indian cinema does it include Malayalam/Tamil etc, cause there are bazillion movies which are trans commercial/art in both those languages, some very funny movies too. But subtitles/translations will be hard to come by.
Vilander
we should also have a thread for most plastic, shamelessly copied, very masala mainstream bollywood movies, not just ordinary blockbusters -- they have to be geneuinly pathetic in their shameless plagarism like harri puttar etc.. I am not fixated or any Bolly fan in particular or have any bias for it. Cheers.

Cheers. yeah but language can be an issue for few ( you will also loose some crucial twists - lost in translation scenario), tamil/malayalam/kannada have some good movies. Kannada may be a bit more platable for North Indian audience as its a bit more mainstream. telugu is like south indian bollywood mostly big budget, Tamil has lots of really crappy movies big budget ( lesser than telugu ones) profit seeking malasa, but there is a resilent local scene with lower budget geneuin original fare. Kannada also has some low budget crappy movies lol, difficult to discern. I suggest the below two. rangitaranga ( Kannada) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4432480/ yamirrukka bayamey ( Tamil) i think this is a korean adaptation. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3681440/ pa paandi ( tamil) slightly more mainstream but still ok. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6734886/ Cricketics
Vilander
This is an other one i liked. life ishtene ( kannada) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3031204/ Cricketics

My way of watching any Indian movie is fast forwarding all the songs and wrapping up the 3 hour movie in hopefully 2 hrs or less. Thanks

coffee_rules
Watching Marathi movies now, closer to Kannada from North Karnataka. Very distinct quality that is not following neither bollywood not south Indian movies. Cricketics
