Kohli's avg is entirely along expected lines. His chamchas will point to a 30-odd (2011 WC) and a 40-odd (CT 2013) but that's about it. Goes on to show that even a mental midget like SRT (compared to likes of Viv and Gilly) was far ahead of Captain Cool-i in this regard.

I assume you are being sarcastic? Not a lot separating the two in terms of avgs. There is a clear diff in the SRs, but some of Sachin's innings (like that 85) were on pitches less conducive to free strokemaking.

I have a hypothesis that Indian batsmen tend to score better after marriage.
