Why are they abusing him.

For his irritating over the top celebrations? I know I wanted to abuse him when he kept doing it while playing for Derbyshire against Yorkshire last season.

Interesting how psychology works. Let's say an average chubby guy sees a fit athletic guy on the street- the exchange would either be nothing at all or at most a polite greeting. What makes the same guy feel safe enough to think it is okay to insult an athlete's heritage in a stadium- while standing a few feet away? It says a lot about our expectations of a sportsman- where we are so sure that we can say anything we want and the guy will not respond. In this case Imran reacted to it. But the guy is really lucky that Imran didn't clean his clock out.

If every sportsmen reacts  to each fans comments they will be endless arguing and fighting. A small boy calls him useless and then imraan comes down to confront him. The parent maybe said some things to imraan. BTW the boy and the parent are Indian south africans. Also I feel imraan is using the race card as an easy escape. From what I hear some told him to go open up a cellphone repair shop in Johannesburg.

Pathetic from south african team doctor to say no kid was involved in a press conference. When you can hear imraan telling about a kid having manners in the video clip.

If our players ever claim racial abuse from the spectators, they will say man up or that they are spoilt brats... :/
