rkt.india Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Speculations remain speculations 99% of times....no bowler is there who doesnt put power and is fast...for some its evident and for others its not that visible its very much visible in his bowling. His pace fluctuates a lot. He tries to put a lot of power and loses his shape as well as pace at times. He should concentrate on maintaining his shape when bowling.

rkt.india Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 impressive last over from Avesh. Him being tall is a great advantage. Mavi served all full deliveries to Iyer which is his strength instead of bowling fast and short. one that was short was slow bouncer.

Pace is a good weapon they have, but it is useless without skills to utilize that pace. I think Avesh is reasonably skilled for his age and experience level. He is decently accurate, has a good bouncer and a good yorker , can seam the ball and can make the ball rear up from length. He is not a spray gun. Yes ... He needs to add skills as he plays more ... but it comes only with time. The issue many of these young quicks are having is ... trying too many slower balls and variations even though it is not their forte. We have seen it happen with Siraj in internationals, with Mavi today and in the 3rd over with Avesh. Even the experienced Bumrah is bowling more slower balls than yorkers this season. Is it the Unadkat effect ! To his credit, Avesh rectified it in his next over and bowled at pace again ... with a solitary slower ball as variation. Pacers whose forte is bowling fast should try 4 to 5 faster balls in an over ... with occasional slower balls. Mosher and adi B 2
