vishalvirsingh Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 Not suggesting because I am an Indian, but it seems to me that the Indians have the fastest bowling attack in the world right now. Not in top speed, but consistent pace. Australia could be the no 1 followed by us , if they want they do have pacers with the pace of Starc around 150K and on average Pace we may still be little behind them. but yes Skill and Pace...Skills of BHUVI<UMESH,Shammi are great and Bumrah too..over all our pace attack can be considered as good as Australian attack but purely on Pace , we may be no 2 in the world. ShebbySB Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) I'm really disappointed that our fastest bowler Nagarkoti is out of IPL with an injury. After watching others I can say he would've clocked 150+ for sure. He's only young though and has time but Mavi will overtake him in this period. vishalvirsingh Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 Siraj's has now bowled the 2nd fastest ball in this IPL followed by Mavi. https://www.iplt20.com/stats/2018/fastest-balls i think Siraj is going to cross 151K soon as he is getting the backing from Virat ...i think he will improve further and play for INDIA in more than just T20. i think Virat should DUMP unadkat now as investing in him can give him some benefit in the short run and not in the long run. virat and shastri should also consider Murgan Ashwin..that guy has crazy turn.... rkt.india Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) Siraj will not be good in T20 cricket until he has a good deceptive slower ball. Pace variation is the most important aspect in T20 cricket. He actually had bowled well yesterday. First 2 overs had gone just for 15 and then next two overs two misfields went for 4s. Any way conceding 20 runs in 2 overs in slog overs is quite a good effort. Thought he could still bowl with better concentration and relying on his yorkers and low full tosses like Mavi. i will take a lot low full toss at high pace even if it is not a perfect yorker than a it turning into a half volley, one of which Karthik hit for 6. Err on the higher side of length than shorter. Edited April 30, 2018 by rkt.india Rightarmfast, Mosher and speedheat 2 1
Rightarmfast Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Had I been Jasprit Bumrah, Sure of playing in the indian 15 and flying to england specially after a successful african tour, i would have only stretched myself upto 90 % in the IPL matches, i would never have put 110% effort that i put in INDIA Matches , i would be very careful with injuries. main eg. is leftarm mittchell johnson and even the english all rounder who are both capable of regularly bowling 145+ ..do you think they are trying 100 %...they are bowling slow balls , trying variations but definitely not bowling Super fast that they can at least for 4 overs. where as u can see indian pacers and players are fighting to come up are trying to give their best...see avesh khan 136 to 149K.. even shammi was not trying very hard ,his pace was also not full and he seemed to be still not in his rhythm, many other bowlers. its natural, bumrah has achieved what he wanted to and now he wants to just sustain himself. i dont think he is practicing very hard , otherwise yorkers were very easy for him. rkt.india Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Give me name of one 100 mtrs dash athlete who won an olympic medal practising jogging. You cant equate bowling yorkers to that. Bumrah is bowling at his normal pace, and hitting the length hard so he is putting his effort, just avoiding bowling yorkers. vishalvirsingh 1

If it does, then he needs to be in practise. How you practise is how you perform, its that simple. if he wont bowl it now, he is going to leave it. express bowling and vishalvirsingh 2

Rightarmfast Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Bowling yorkers could be the hardest accuracy wise. And even if it is, how do you suppose a bowler will get better not bowling it? Straight Drive and express bowling 2
Straight Drive Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Bowling yorkers could be the hardest accuracy wise. And even if it is, how do you suppose a bowler will get better not bowling it? Agree to this. Yorker is the toughest ball to ball. Only those pacers who try it in nets or in matches will be able to get it right. To me a specialist bowler is incomplete if he does not has a good yorker. Rightarmfast 1

To me a specialist bowler is incomplete if he does not has a good yorker. Bumrah has good yorker but he is just not bowling it and that maybe due to dew. He tried Yorkers in the first game but ended up bowling full tosses due to dew. There is very little margin of error. Few does play a significant role in night games.
ShebbySB Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Siraj was utter crap for India in the T20s.Still I rate him higher than Thakur and Undercutter. He has got the backing of Virat and if he works on his slower ball which is rubbish atm he can be a handy bowler with his genuine pace around 142-150 kph. vishalvirsingh 1
ShebbySB Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) Avesh is the best Indian bowler on show right now followed by young Mavi.Pace wise Nagarkoti is faster than both of them though Avesh with his height and extra bounce is the most lethal of them all. I echo same comments. We had read NagarKoti as at least 2 k faster on average than Mavi. Thats 150+...dangerous bowling zone. But if I have to pick one out of three I l pick the eldest avesh now and play him in English conditions. ShebbySB and express bowling 2
