It was not ABD who tonked him more. Rather CDG and Moeen Ali blasted his bowling. Sarfaraz too feasted nicely on his bowling.

Moeen started the assault in his first over itself tonking two sixers on first two balls.  Others then carried out the attack throughout his spell.

it wasnt his day and everybody feasted on him, such days happen .

happened with bhuvi few yrs ago when he went for 100 in wankahde

That's the point. He is a kind of bowler who will sneak in a Jaffa between filth. And there will be days where he won't even be able to do. He in that respect is similar to Umesh. Not worth investing. Umesh still is a work in progress after so many years.

Both bowls at the same pace.  So, it is not like Thampi is bowling 150. Both bowls in that same 137-143K bracket but Thampi can bowl good yorkers, but yesterday he bowled too many slow balls.

Nitpicking. You know what I meant. Thampi has potential to effortlessly bowl 145 plus while Shardul best efforts can get hIm there. Keeping aside speed, Thampi isn't much skilled either other than few fluke yorkers.

Yeah, even last year he was a run leaking machine, this year he has updated it to version 2.0

More miss than hit.

Umesh was far more skill ful then thampi when he came in but calling thampi, thampi has skills for LOI he will get with time as he ll gain experience and develop variation .

But dismissing him is so wrong

One swallow doesn't make a summer.

Just a single bad game, that too a dead rubber, and you put Dhoni in this list?

It's not a dead rubber per se. Unlikely as it is, If KKR notch up a big enough win tomorrow and Punjab somehow manage to beat CSK, they could still drop down to third.

Again, it's unlikely, but crazier things have happened before.
