sourab10forever
Credit where it's due : brave call and it has paid off big time. Probably the one good thing that Virat has done to the LOI team as a captain. Good forward thinking on that occasion. It's been all backward otherwise. Forever Indian
Agreed, the one good decision he has taken. I was also piss*d when he dropped Kuldeep after one bad game in last ODI series, but good to see him back. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
RAZPOR
oh come on if it was upto him we ll still be seeing them, they just got bashed so hard and for so long that it was just no way to explain how to keep them in anymore. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
Trichromatic
He was laughing happily after they got thrashed all over the park in CT17. He dropped Shami for them in England while padosis played leggy and 3 pacer. He had no other option. Dropped them only when it became difficult to continue with them. raki05, UrmiSinhaRay, Switchblade and 2 others 1 1 3 Link to comment
Trichromatic
It's like giving credit to Kohli for KL Rahul's success so far. UrmiSinhaRay and SandeepMotta 1 1 Link to comment
sourab10forever
Look,Ash-Jaddu were senior players and they had done well for India for so many years. It would have been a difficult task for any Indian captain, let alone a new young captain, to ask both his main spinners to completely move aside and make way for two young inexperienced guys. India relies highly on it's spinners. It was a tough call and good on Virat that he took(or atleast didn't stop this decision from being taken). UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

IN Indian culture, it is never easy to easy to drop establish players. UrmiSinhaRay, cowboysfan and Switchblade 1 1 1 Link to comment

Averaged 45+ in ODIs and Jadeja was also ineffective. It would have been difficult if they were even average, not even bad. It was only natural course of action. They were already on verge of losing spots and wouldn't have survived more than 2 series after CT17 under any captain. LORD_analyst and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

LORD_analyst
pretty sure, if it was dhoni - jaddu and ashwin would still be playing till the 2020 t-20 world cup.....good riddance. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
