Malcolm Merlyn
The indian selection committee as of now had 3 members. MSK Prasad,Sarandeep Singh and Devang Gandhi. Jatin Paranjape and Gagan Khoda are in suspension as according to the CoA they are not test cricketers so cannot be in selection committee. Now the 3 Indian selectors have played 13 tests between them. In comparision Pakistan selection committee is led by Inzy who has played 100 plus tests. It also has Tauseef Ahmed(34 tests) Wajahtullah Wasti(6 tests and 15 ODIs) and Waseem Haider who has 3 Odis. Cricket Australia selection panel has the likes of Mark Waugh and Greg Chappell. NZC has Gavin Larson as selector who has 100 plus ODIs. The indian selection committee looks like a group of yes boys picked from obscurity just to be a rubber stamp. These guys are failures. Their selections pretty much show their ability. Is this how Indian cricket function? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk UrmiSinhaRay, Lannister and asterix 2 1 Link to comment

Malcolm Merlyn
Total buffoons are selectors. On top of this the bcci is asking the SC to relax the norms from test cricketers only to FC cricketers. No one who hasnot playe 25tests or 50 Odis for India deserves to be a selector.Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk UrmiSinhaRay and beetle 1 1 Link to comment
raki05
How can they be selectors, when they themselves got hardly selected. beetle, Trichromatic, DHONI_FANN and 6 others 2 5 2 Link to comment
Trichromatic
They should impose criteria of min 30 tests or 100 ODIs. beetle, raki05 and UrmiSinhaRay 1 2 Link to comment

Khota
I think you have this wrong. Even I can be a good selector but the problem is not their experience but decision making. BCCI really needs to invest in Analytics like baseball. That will yield enough data to pick the right players for right conditions and opposition. These decisions could easily be computer/data based. gattaca
Similar to coaching a player who played more tests doesn’t mean they will do better in selection. They should be involved at domestic level. Also imagine how many will be left since we are having different set of selectors every time. Top guys like Dravid and ganguly have different positions with Indian cricket. Selection is a thankless job you will only get ok players. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment
Global.Baba
Selectors are weak but at the same time,in the last few years they have selected a lot of youngsters as well. How can you blame them if the team management has not given the players a shot? for every DK,Parthiv,Yuvraj they have also selected Pant,Siraj,Shankar,Sundar,Kuldeep,Chahal,Nair,Krunal Pandya etc. most of them who were identified as players with potential. Now if these players are not being given the confidence then how can you blame the selectors?
