DK has won at least 3 matches out of 22 for India on his own (may be more). Strike rate of 145. Better keeper than you know who. May be this is the format for him.

I think even in ODIs he was played out of position,would be an ideal number 6.

However you know who would be even more exposed if he came in earlier so as always every other batsman has to revolve around him

I think DK failed to capitalise on his test batting exploits early in his career... may be due to wife-murali vijay issues.

Play dk as the primary keeper and at 6 and watch how we can max his potential .

 

Playing him as a pure batsman is a big mistake. Doubt if even pant can score when you get in as a pure bat.

 

That's why you see openers , one down and 3 bowler spots along with keeper position secure .

 

The rest are just revolving doors . Panda is lucky that there is no Single pace all-rounder .

DK's problem has been confidence at the highest level where somehow he seemed to get nervous and lose his mind. He also has not had a good run in the side. He seems to have overcome that in T20s and he knows what to do very well. 

 

He is worth investing in right now.
