Can we really rush him into Aus tests, a very challenging scenario ? I would also prefer a general contributor like Jadeja when the green tops arent really green.

 

Let's see how this test goes and our available folks for the next game.

Apart from and English brain fade moment that gave the imitation 'Sary Gobers' 5 wickets, he was equally useless with bat and ball. He hardly bowled in most other games. Neither was he a revelation with the bat.

 

Anytime a discussion about his pointlessness came about, Sary Gobers fans would pounce on some stupidity like how he batted better than a batsman who got out for a duck?!

His bowling will suit Aus conditions, not sure how well he can bat in these conditions though. He would have been right for the Perth test in place of Ashwin, another seamer has to be dropped if he needs to find a place from next test.

In batting he wnt have as much problem as in england due to movement, he doesnt have much issue with pace n bounce

Pandya bowled well today.  Poper wheels

 

Impresssed, shows value he has , as adds amazing balance.  eg Could have played instead of Umesh and not quite as good bowler but adds amazing batting depth as could have batted 6 and Pant comes in 7.

If he played in place of Umesh, they could have played ashwin or Jadeja instead of Vihari. Thats the balance he brings.
