He is either injured or been extremely unimpressive in the nets (post comeback). Hard to explain his absence especially when Umesh himself is bowling in the low 130s.

Like I said in the other thread - Ishant didn't seem 100% to me last test, the bigger question is why are the unfit guys still there - Ashwin, Pandya, BK etc. 

 

If these guys aren't match fit or match ready WTF are they doing there! This TM is beyond hopeless, let's hope their stupidity doesn't cost us the series

If they are going in with 2 spinners than either pandya or bhuvi was a must for 3rd pacer to shorten the tail..

Ishant experienced some left rib-cage discomfort and the team management did not want to risk him during this Test, with a spokesman saying he was "currently being assessed".

If the pitch is dry like traditional SCG pitches then they will play Kuldeep.If its a different SCg pitch like i saw on Twitter than they will play spraygun and lose the match.

Team selecton has been one of the biggest weaknesses of Kohli.He and Shastri have been totally inept in assessing situtations and conditions.

 

They have not been helped players getting inured either at the right time.Umesh as third seamer is such a risky option.

Totally trust cheerleader with VK to goof up selection again ...playing UT will be disaster including KL...you already starting a test match with 1 less batsman and 1 less of a bowler
