DK is the only number 6 we have . Sadly he can't bowl and because of Dhoni can't be keep er batsman. Playing a pure bat at 6 is a risk. But I feel we should go with jadhav/VS at number 4 and go with dhoni,DK and hardik. It's a decent middle order, not earth shattering but can get job done if bowlers show some promise .

Positives : Shankar but I still don't consider him a proper batsman. His flow of bat unlike pandya restricts him to be a big hitter. 

Jadeja will be thrown.

The most astonishing thing has been how slowly this team management has destroyed Chahal and to an extent Kuldeep. After playing every match for 18 months, in last two months, suddenly in the name of experimentation both have been dropped far too often. Kuldeep has coped well but Chahal suddenly looks ordinary. Can understand fast bowlers needing rest, but spinners? All because they suddenly realised an urge to include Jadeja in the WC squad.

no 1 - india lost due to lack of rohit scoring quick . people are talking

no2 - shankar showed he is useful with bat and ball

no 3 - hopefully rayudu is now out

no 4 - rahul is bring considered at no 3-4 

no 5 bhuvi form with bat - helps balance the team a lot

no 6 bumrah and shami as wicket taking pacers 

no 7 - jadeja use or limit exposed . play him as third spinner not as second 

no 8 dhawan showed he is gabbar

no 9 kohli is humbled - v imp that he gets humbled 

no 10 pandya got rest . bilaterals are useless . india needs firepower of pandya pant dk rahul shankar to win any cup - if u dont play 4 hitters and play no hit and boo dhoni , u are not going to win crunch matches

jadeja should be used just as bowler in conducive conditions. He can't be that slogging allrounder  because as a batsman he needs time at the crease , i mean can't explode straight away.

Vijay Shankar is a plus

Rayudu is a bit inadequate, though can be worth in ENG conditions.

 

Pandya is must

Pant  is only a raw talent w.r.t keeping .He is more of an explosive cameo player in one dayers.

Bhuvi can be used as a utility batsman especially in  ENG

Dhoni is a must  as of now  - the most important point,  because if he was there thru out , IND would have won the series.I would even say , we were the under dogs in the  series because we shuffled with the most indispensable position , that is WK.This because Pant was  such inexperienced for a high profile series as this.If any he should have been played only as a batsman.

even our test wicketkeeper from bengal can be a better bat in england - he is fully fit and is a decent batrer

 

karthick rahul - lots of options. just focus on one keeper , watch in ipl and if he does ok then done

I don't think there will be a positive from this b/c Kohli said the team is pretty much settled, except 1 spot. So they were experimenting with no intention to change course.
