Usually when batsmen plays the pull shot properly, they are able to contact the ball well ahead of their stance. When Saini bowled the batsmen are clearly late playing either in line of stance or even in line of backfoot due to pace resulting in mis hits as well as high catches. That specifically impressed me a lot.

This is a very handy mode of dismissal on flat pitches.. seen many indian batsmen get out this way.

That was an excellent over by Aaron, simply looks a different bowler this year touch wood, mixing his deliveries and most importantly his thunderbolts are still there

His accuracy has been pretty good too so far. Wish to see him bowl some bouncers now.

Aaron was bowling well ,but suddenly he started overusing slower ones, which somehow spoiled his figures, Rashid is no mug with the bat ,should have bowled those fast straight yorkers

He should have bowled some bouncers to Rashid. Unadkat influence already showing on Aaron :phehe:

Aussies are supposed to be sooo good agsinst pace and bounce.

A well directed 145 k bouncer by Khaleel ... and ace Aussie batsman Steve Smith is bounced out  on a slow surface   !     :phehe:

No one can confidently play a good quick bouncer, irrespective of country  .... but the myths never go away.

Slower balls must be hard to pick ,otherwise it won't work.

Aaron bowled 3 different slower balls today - knuckle ball, slow bouncer and back of the hand slower ball. 1st two were good and were hard to pick but back of hand slower ball needs to be improved.

Fastest balls by Khaleel today

145  ... bounces out Smith

143

143

142

141

141

139

When he can do this, why does he choose to bowl 130 - 135  !!

Bowling 145k is hard work.

One slower ball is enough if it's hard to pick, look at malinga, keeps bowling that off cutter over so many years and they still struggle to pick it ,whereas they are already picking kaul and bhuvi's knuckle balls.

Because Malinga used to be quicker before and could bowl Yorkers with similar trajectory to his slower ball and his arm speed wouldn't change.
