Saini,Umesh,Aaron and Thomas will be in action today:cheer:

Exciting but the pitch and the ground is a career killer. And you have batsmen like ABD who will destroy you.

Thampi's IPL career ran into a brick wall with just one match in Chinnaswamy against AB and Moeen.

Khaleel was quick even in last game.

Khaleel needs to sustain his speeds in international matches.  Unless we see 2 full LOI series, where he bowls at full pace ... concerns will remain.  This is because he has shown tendencies of dropping his pace.

Moreover ... the more pertinent issue is his bowling style.  He looks and bowls much better when he hits the deck hard and tries to get bounce. And that is his original style.  And he has done that in this IPL.   He looks floaty and becomes ineffective when he tries to be a medium paced swing bowler, as that his not his original style of bowling.

Khaleel got a Team India call-up because he had the ability to get steep bounce from just short of a length and had a good bouncer too.  He has used that in some matches in this IPL.  Needs to keep on using this ability.

track has nothing to do with pace.  Khaleel was quick even in last game.

Thats correct. The release speeds have nothing to do with the track. However weather conditions, wind speed etc have some bearing on the speeds. Shami and Bhuvi both were quicker than normal yesterday. Umesh touched 150 only once this season and Saini registered his highest speed in the same match.

Saini had touched his peak speed before that match ie 151.98

average speed is low because Khaleel bowled more slower balls.  How many deliveries over 140 or more did BK bowl? BKL 6, Khaleel 7.  And your comparison is a futile exercise, comparing 21 year old rookie to a 29 year old seasoned player.  both had an average speed of 134, one is 21, one is 29 who has more potential, one is taller, one is short who has more potential for future.  people already know what likes of BK, Yadav, and Aaron offer.  so at least i am not really excited about their speeds.  They are known quantities. it is the future potential who we need to talk about more.

Lol posts after posts are made for Yadav and Aaron's speed so what are you talking about. If any other bowler had increased his pace as much as Bhuvi had you would be worshipping him. People here have decided to hate on BK and thats it. All the rest are mere excuses

Fast bowlers take some time to get into their smoothest rhythm. The quickest overs of pacers are rarely their first overs of a match.

That is by choice depending on the format. If it is an one over game they can pretty much bowl at their higher speeds. Bumrah has shown he could do. I have seen Mone Morkel doing straight away.

It is not by choice.

Occasionally it happens when pacers get into rhythm straight away ... but it does not happen always.

The other quick bowlers playing in this match ... Thomas, Umesh, Aaron and Khejroliya ... did not bowl at their quickest despite having to bowl just 1 over.

I have seen Shannon Gabriel bowling at that speed in the very first over. Again it is still a choice whether to crank up full speed or not. You can't possibly say with certainty Oshane Thomas didn't bowl fast because he can't. or Umesh.

A bowler can only try to bowl at his quickest ... but it is never in his hands entirely.  Often, the quickest overs just happen when a pacer is bowling in great rhythm.

On the other hand, a pacer can try to bowl within himself and succeed almost always.  But it may result in loss of accuracy too, if that pacer ends up bowling much slower than his normal speed range.

Is BK bowling consistently around 145? Had he done that, people would have been talking about that too. People also made posts after posts when Umesh was bowling slow criticizing him. But you won't see that. Even Deepak Chahar has gained 10-15 kph of pace, not just BK.
