Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal are not north.  Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan are central India, rest are eastern India. everything above karnataka are not north.

And they aren't all Bimaru states like some oversmart people above are claiming, do you know the number of graduates leaving central India for places like Pune or indeed down South? If the Southies are so smart why the * don't they fill these positions themselves? Pretty much half my class mates from school, college are out of state or abroad. What's clear though is that the South thinks too much of themselves, reminds me of "Ash" & his cockiness.

Biggest trade route and industries how can other states beat it. Only state that can compete is may be gujarat. But gujarat looses so much on excise money.

People make a state great.Look at West Bengal.Britishers gave them all the facilities and headstart on English. But they whiled it all away with their elistist attitude and continue to do so.

Same could be said of Bengalis, Punjabis, Mumbaikars, Delhiites...can't draw conclusions based on a few forum posts.

No it does seem to be a bigger problem with Southern states, they somehow feel threatened by Hindi or what they refer to as cow belt! It's either inferiority complex, wrt Hindi, or something to do with their languages being more important than one India! Maharashtra, Bengal, Punjab, Orissa, North East certainly aren't as insecure.

You sure that doesn't apply to Bengal or Punjab?
