Rohit knocks against aus in semifinal and Pak in 2007 T20 we're crucial.But he has failed in 3 odi knockouts.but he got a good ball today and Amir bowled a unplayable ball in champion's trophy final.

Always knew law of average will catch him up specially in knockouts. He had good tournament but when it was most needed both him and kohli failed.

Wth would this be his last world cup. He will definitely play WC 2023 as he is still 32 and batsmen do last a long time. (36 may be on high end for fast bowlers but other than that, I do not any batsman retiring before that unless he looses his form tremendously.)

Yes, 4 years is a long way away. 36 is indeed not too late but we don't know where his batting will be at after 2-3 years. Too early to comment. Hence "might have played"

No we need him to start building a team before handing off to a youngster after 2023 wc. Kohli has shown to be incompetent working with youngsters. I like that we are grooming a young guy like Iyer for captaincy like Aus does. He should be ready soon as well.

Sure. But the probability of him fading away in ODIs is very less by then unless something really goes wrong. Would probably say that about Dhawan but even for him, I think there is nearly 50% chance that he will stay until WC 2023.
