The threat to the AIADMK was an immediate collapse post Jaya death. They have held on thereby securing their position. You need money fight elections in TN now a days. None of the up and coming parties have that. AIADMK will have enough reserves to fight the next two election cycles. The DMK on the other hand has been out of power since 2013 at all levels. They performed well in the LS but are still not in power (LOL). They will not admit it in public but this cash crunch must be biting them hard. There are plenty of rumors that the Junior Vatikan ran an article against the D-Company cause MKS was not able to fulfill what he promised post LS and bypolls. Long term it is prudent for AIADMK-BJP-PMK to form a block. The DMK will win an election and their district secretaries will go on a land grabbing spree.
