Interesting. Never knew Muslims from the south migrated to Pakistan during partition.
I guess you mean apart from Hyderabad.

Yeah. I mean those guys like Nizam,Razzakars etc were  North origin anyways. I am talking more of the actual convert types. I have seen in Chennai and Bangalore they speak a different kind of urdu dialect, you will have no clue what they are talking about. Also the Hyd types "Chai Aarder kar chicha., Main aa roon" types

Dakkhani Urdu. 

Bahamani and it's successor states and later Nizams played a role in the development of this distinct form of Urdu.

He migrated in 1949 not during partition.
