@rkt.india @express bowling @Rightarmfast @Suhaan and rest of pace gang what does this mean to nagarkotis action and probable delivery speeds in future.

"It has been fine-tuned a little bit. My action had a bit of side arm, it became a little front on.”

Pacers with front-on actions are more dependant on their run-ups to generate speed.

Since Nagarkoti is very athletic and has a beautiful run-up and acceleration to the crease, his bowling speeds should be maintained once he becomes accustomed to his new action

Side on actions are always the best in any sport. The power is generated more from the hips, catapulted through the arm. However, this action takes a toll on the back.

More front on action means that your pace is generated more from your arms/ arm strength. This is an easier approach and puts less stress on the back.

Ideally the taller bowlers normally take the front on action, which also enhances their bounce. I would expect a slight drop in pace, since the catapult effect could be gone. Knowing Nagarkotti and his willingness to bowl fast, I would think he would find a way to operate at optimum pace.

He may be semi-side on now like Brett Lee.

Yes. Thats what I think.

Brett Lee had mixed action in 97, his lower body was side on upper body front on which led to back stress fracture at the age of 21 then he reworked his action.  Here's the video of his old action.

I believe he is saying after a long injury layoff he has kind of lost his action ,maybe first time when he bowled he observed it bacame a little side on,its my take

But i seriously think its quite natural for anyone to loose little bit of their original action after a long long time

Yes ,i too was a little concerned reading about a certain change in his action which he is mentioning here, maybe it will take time to sort out his action in the first place

Question who oversees the rehab process, not the medical rehab but the cricketing rehab, getting back the technique, bowling action etc etc. Is this under the watch of Rahul Dravid and NCA or does he work with his own coaches?

Brother ,he is also saying he wants to click 150s ,so maybe he has his intentions clear about pace of his deliveries, but we won't know until he bowls under the watch of speedguns ,lets see brother

What does the NCA do then? The great savior Rahul Dravid who sacrificed everything in life to live 5 Km's away from his job while making only few crores, doesn't it become their responsibility to oversee this especially for a player who is identified as a potential prospect and is in the scheme of things for the A tour?

he is very unfit and unlucky it would seem... pity, another talent going down the never-ending drain.
