People talk about IPL and all domestic talent. Who are finishers for IPL teams and how many are from India?We need to assess that list first.

That job in the IPL is outsourced to phoren hitters.  Very few Indians who can do that job.  Hence the relative market value of even Dubey is high, let's not even talk about Hardik Pandya - who is legit world-class in that role of a lower order hitter.

A reason why KKD is never going away. Another guy on his day is capable of taking on any attack. Pace/spin/slower ball/bouncer.

I would play KKD in my t20 team over Pant anyday.We don't have anyone in the system who is half decent as him.I like Pant but he still needs to develop more to be successful in t20s.Let him play odis and tests.

It is not by choice, if domestic hitters are there, they would use them too.Pandya was doing it for MI nicely.

Of course - Goutham had a moment or 2 for RR, but he's more of a bowler who can slog, not a consistent hitter.  By definition, such players are rare.  Not just in India.

No England , Australia, WI have good hitters and NZ to some extent have decent hitters.India other than Pandya have none, even Pandya is unproven.

With Maxwell gone don’t think Australia have too many crazy hitters down the order. They are like us as well Top 3 dependent. Warner-Finch and Smith.

 

Carey etc are proper batsmen.

OK. 

Nothing to do with this match. This has been the trend for a while. Top order clicks till the key match. They get out quickly in that match. We just implode. Like in the last match scored 18 runs in last  3 overs posted a below par total.
