our problem is not lack of players but too many players and the confusion to play them in the right slots.

However based on this squad

Russell/Pollard over Dube

Nabi over Jadeja/Sundar

Archer over Thakur

Rashid Khan over Chahal

Butler over Pant

Ross Taylor over Pandey

In order of pref

1. Starc- bowler always wins u games. Starc, bumrah will be a combination made in heaven.

2. Rashid- apart from his bowling, his batting is very handy in t20.

3. Russell- who wudnt want him n pandya in same lineup.

Below is my preferred T20 11 with one non-Indian player based on team's requirements:

KL

Shaw

Kohli

Russell/Stokes

Iyer

Pandya

Pant

Spinner - Chahal or Kuldeep or R Chahar

Shami

Saini

Bumrah

* If a 2nd spinner is required, he can play in place of Shami or Saini

* The above 11 can compete with Eng and WI for firepower on good batting tracks on which these games are usually played on. The bowling is strong too

Russell.. the man will provide the much needed balance. Unfortunately we have to contend with the likes of Dubey. Travesty that such a great cricketing nation can’t seem to produce a decent fast bowling allrounder!

we only produced 1 since independent (kapil), so it's not easy to achieve.

Glenn Maxwell for Pandey.

Jos Buttler for Pant.

Rashid Khan for Chahal/Kuldeep

Mitchell Starc for Thakur/Bhuvi

Maybe Warner/Bairstow for Rahul

Holy crap I forgot Russell. Him in place of Pandya or Dubey.

neither warner nor bairstow are on the same level as KLR in T20s, although warner is close.

I said maybe.

Both of them can take the game away from the opponent in the PP itself on their day. Even Finch/Roy....but I agree Rahul has consistency on his side.
