Their efforts in the field were scintillating and their captain is such a composed kid. Very admirable qualities for someone so young. Fantastic game of Cricket!

Cricwala Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 The way we have dominated at under-19 WC level, 4 wins compared to Australia's 3 + the number of finals we have made, shows that we have the best young talent. Where we are failing is proper systems, coaches and administrators who can provide the finishing touch to these guys. Our NCA is no match for ICC's Dubai cricket academy or what Eng & Aus have. We should have at least 4 world-class academies in the four big metros, with professional specialist coaches for all skills- batting, pace bowling, spin bowling, fielding. All the money making by BCCI serves no purpose if we can't dominate the game as we should. Star power is another monster we need to fight. We need to use services of guys like Dravid, Kumble, Amre, More, Vengsarkar, Gillespie but after insulating them from the politics. Hopefully, Ganguly stays at helm for 5 years, and manages the politics while the cricketing brains work under him to put the systems in place. Sgattick10 1

However this should end the debate about this team being as good as the 2018 one. Some of these kids need a lot of fine tuning compared to the previous batch.
