They will gamble. They will back themselves to do better than India even if they bat first. Their best chance to beat India is by having us bat first. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Unless Wagner takes a break for sure it will be Southee/Boult/Wagner/CDG. Jamieson is a rookie. Link to comment

With 45 kph winds forecasted, it'd be swing bowlers - who know how to use the wind - who would prosper. i knw but on such any bowler will work who puts the bowl in right place and add to his height will always get him bounce Link to comment

Norman
Rohit must be thanking Gods after seeing that wicket. Him vs Boult here would have been fun (for Boult). ganeshran, Unstable Joe, Sgattick10 and 1 other 4 Link to comment

Being tall doesn't mean a bowler would put the ball in right place either. that to is with everyone....if u dont put the ball in right place it ll go to boundary something umesh has been guilty of on such pitches Link to comment

cowboysfan
People say the same thing after looking at the pitch in kiwi land,i would bat first no question unless they leave a lot of that grass on game time. Link to comment

It doesn't matter what the pitch looks like. Behavior of pitch in NZ is such that it is overly helpful for seamers on day 1. Day 5 is the easiest to bat on. Link to comment
SRT100
Its totally within the realms of possibility that India could lose the series within the first hour of play tomorrow, if they are forced to bat first and lose 4-5 wickets early. Link to comment

Need a long 15 year test career player who is gr8 to watch. I exactly do not want that so that the latter to at least have a decent test stat of 5-6 k runs at his retirement to complement his formidable limited over stats. Link to comment
test fan
Kyle Jamieson will be making his Test debut tomorrow against India in the first test, so no Neil Wagnar Link to comment
RajBan
It could be a huge risk to play Ishant. If Ishant is playing, India should go with 5 bowlers. That may mean dropping one of Shaw or Vihari. express bowling 1 Link to comment

Ambles to the crease and then almost rips his shoulder apart to deliver the ball. He will be useful in 2nd innings with his height to bowl bouncers when the pitch gets apparently flat and is a good replacement for wagner Link to comment
