vvvslaxman Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 Indian bowling was more suitable in Australia than NZ where pitch is not that pacy but bouncy. Here swing bowlers are more potent. Every single NZ bowler is taking the ball away from the right hander. None of our seamers could do that.

I am talking about this line up. Bhuvi can swing better than these guys. Ishant can bowl inswing. Neither shami nor Bumrah is able to swing the kookaburra ball Besides in England we use Duke not Kookaburra. This test is an example. Almost all 4 seamers from NZ swung the ball Edited February 23, 2020 by vvvslaxman
vvvslaxman Posted February 23, 2020 Author Posted February 23, 2020 There was a time India had mostly swing bowlers. Zaheer, Nehra, Sreesanth, RP singh., Irfan THey all won a test overseas with their bowling. Sreesanth in SA, Pathan at Perth, Zaheer/RP n England.

Warrier is a good swing bowler, he is more suited to such conditions over Saini who is the squad. Him and Ishant could have run the Kiwis ragged.

Had they bowled well no one wud have raised the question. Ishant despite his fifer didnt look 100% to me and bumrah will take his time post injuries also teams have started to plan against him. Apart from bhuvi i wont have considered any other swing bowler here not even chahar
adi B Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 Bhuvi would have been handy here but only if fully fit ,he normally loses all his steam by the third session
adi B Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 Even pandya would have been handy here with his outswinger . None of the current 3 bowlers have a good outswinger Vk1 and Ankit_sharma03 2

Basically they are far superior to our attack in these conditions.

In what way is it considered good? agree but that has been a historical problem , in most innings we reduced them to 100/5 and then they had those annoying partnerships

Are you going to deny it? Explain why do you think Indian bowling was better here?
