That's why they have to infect the world with new diseases to make them feel relevant. Well that's not very nice - borderline prejudiced. Success in sports are a function of what resources can get allocated to sponsoring a good number of athletes - that's why most rich countries tend to hog the medals. And some poorer ones rise up quickly if they make it a priority for 'national pride' reasons. India's limited success in sports doesn't bother me - its a symptom of the overall failure of the national leadership to deliver economic growth and prosperity - that's the core issue. Sorry didn't mean to offend anyone. Poor attempt at humour (although I do think the Chinese are well dodgy). I will delete.

Prabhdeep Singh Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Let's hope for Tendulkar/Ganguly partnership in Headingly 2002. That day was pretty overcast/bad light. Adi_91 1

SRT100 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 So bloody typical of **** Indian batting. Pant, Vihari, Jadeja have all scored centuries at test level, yet none of us on here and rightly so believe they can even score a quarter century lol.

What are you smoking buddy. Situation and context are a thing. We are 6 down already - best we can hope for is a miracle partnership or 2 that can drag us to 200, and then some inspired bowling and a bit of luck. Ahh who am I kidding. :( Adi_91 1

Although more folks will remember his edge-filled cameo in a home ODI chase of 325 against West Indies.

Even Akash Chopra and his pujara-esque 20(80) helped India in the 2003 Aus tour. It is very, very, very difficult to be competitive in test cricket, especially away test cricket, if your openers keep failing constantly.

I think he got discarded after NZ tour where everyone failed

People here really do not realise how difficult batting in 4th innings can be. 160+ and they will fold . Commentators were talking that batting will be easier in 4th innings on this wicket a considering that it will just be 3rd day and initial moisture in the wicket would be gone and red ball 's wear and tear would not be much for spinners to make an impact.

In their defence atleast in this cycle pitches has been very spicy overseas- SA, ENG. Also our TM played a masterstroke by taking our players to SA with only one practice session to face rabdda, steyn, philander, ngidi. Even this NZ tour pitches have been spungy which our batsman have never enjoyed. Then vijay lost it Games were wasted on Dhawan Rahul had his bad patch
Ankit_sharma03 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 boult has been superb this innings, spot on this morning
Laaloo Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Man what happened to pants defense? he was so good in Australia and England. Now he looks circumspect and looks like he can get out any time.
