More likely he is clueless about how these things go in real life.

Hasn't stopped him from listing other treatments that were authorized before being jettisoned :dontknow:

If he really knew why they could've been jettisoned and bothered to think about risk/benefit rather than "design" arguments, I could give BOTD.

Maybe Ivermectin maker paid him to keep it away from his tweet?  By design, he kept it away.  Anyone can play this BS game.

Mumbai HC has mandated it on it's own, our judiciary is more pro-active than medical "experts".

I certainly hope they are right, although one should call BS on their vaccine derision.

After digging up some publications last night and reading them, I can say with confidence that Ivermectin has finally crossed Step 4 and reached Step 5 of the 7-step CoViD drug process (From Hype to Premature mass use).  We shall see where it goes - hopefully in a different direction than HCQ, plasma, Remdesivir, Favipiravir, Tocilizumab and others.

I have more hopes for the DRDO drug 2-DG, though.

In who research, Ivermectin found 83% successful as prophylaxis but later they back tracked under pressure of vaccine lobby which is funding them. WHO is nothing more than a sell out organization now.

Looks like they made a mockery of Steps 2 & 3 with Remdesivir. But I am sure there was no conflict of interest involved. Everyone just shut up and tRuSt tHe sCiEnCe.

For FFS. This is getting worse by the day.

Same story as HCQ, plasma, favipiravir etc.

Times of Despair.

Something gives a bit of hope.

Manufacturer hypes it.

Reality does not meet hype.

Abandoned.

Problem is - people start with this premise:  Big Pharma and Fauci are in cahoots.  Everything else is made to fit this premise.

Ivermectin is in "Hype" phase right now.  Let's see.

(a) WHO may be a sell out.

(b) The study was not an DB-RCT and thus not robust.

(a) does not preclude (b)

WHO faked a Pandemic in 2010 itself. And no, this isn't from any Kaanspiracy website but from a mainstream outlet like Forbes. Of course when someone pointed to that article last year, they immediately purged it from their website :phehe:. Thankfully there is still an archived link if someone wants to read.

This is the most interesting part of the article.

Sounds suspiciously similar to The Great Reset sales pitch that we have been hearing since last year :hmmm:.

Can we replace China with Fauci in the OP title?

Whatever happened still happened in China under Chinese govt who also seem complicit.

At that time, it was just one among several competing hypotheses.  Anyone who was convinced then and was convincing others that it was a lab-release or natural origin was fooling themselves and everyone else too.  It was a classic case of confirmation bias:

Blamers:  First, they decided that it was China.  Kept saying it was deliberate lab leak. With no evidence, except a well-deserved suspicion of China.

Nature-lovers: "OMG, man interfered with nature.  Nature is fighting back."  No evidence, except it fit their man-vs-nature narrative.

Wait-and-seers:  All options are on the table.  Lab leak, including carelessness, is quite possible.  Let's see what the sequencing and other data look like before deciding.

For 1 year, nature lovers thumped their chests!  Now, blamers are thumping their chests!  But the likely winners are the "wait-and-seers."

Same thing is happening with variants.  We so badly want to believe that some nefarious organization or govt planted the variants (narrative-fitting), while molecular evolutionary biologists are screaming from message-board rooftops that natural sequence variation more than adequately explains it.

Can you tell how many such deadly contagious variants did we see of swine flu, bird flu, even MERS that created this kind of destruction? For this, we have already seen Brazil variant, SA variant, Uk variant. India double mutant, Indian triple mutant. But no US variant and no Chinese variant.
