Ankit_sharma03
This thread wont be about any cricketing skill analysis but just the psychological aspect of the game. As they say its 50 % played in mind I always beileve the captain that win the tournament are the ones that are most relaxed on the day . Anyone observe ganguly at 2003 Wc toss Or sanga and dhoni in 2011 Wc toss Kohli body language in CT 2017 final Kohli body language in dressing room in 2019 Semi their body language says it all. You ll see high skill players under a hassled captain not winning cups but below avg players winning cups under a calm leader. If ur leader looks hassled team will panic, which is why players around the world admire dhoni's calmness. Lets share screenshots of captains during matches Captain n coaches interview and it ll tell u a lot , even young player . Will specially be looking at kohli and now even Rahul n Iyer Edited September 23, 2020 by Ankit_sharma03 Real McCoy and mishra
Ankit_sharma03
Observation- Kohli keeps constantly reminding everyone how they have done badly in past and this will put pressure on them to do extra whereas its about keeping it simple Sa keeps telling them about choking and so does everyone Pak about loosing to India in WCs

Warner looked chilled out even when his bowlers were getting bashed. Aaron Finch is another captain who looks very calm and confident. He has that "bring it on, we will beat the crap out if whatever you throw at us" kind of look and body language. Real McCoy

mishra
Great thread. I have my opinion cemented over years. Kohli is dud as dodo when it comes to captaincy. He makes life hard for his players with allmost everthing ( decision, antic, stupidity) but occasionally you get a match winning inning from him. Its not good enough. Between kohli, Rahul and Iyer, imo, least talented Iyer is more suited as captain.
