Its like Hunger Games with ordinary people set in the present world. Just seen 3 episodes so far though, hour long episodes so does take a bit of time but well worth it so far Edited September 29, 2021 by Vickydev
Lone Wolf Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Squid game series of the year from Netflix. Brilliant cinematography. Plot is bit like dystopian Hollywood thriller but fantastic pacing makes up for it.
Vickydev Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Finished it last night. Yup its a winner, fine fine show with brilliant character arcs. Only letdown was some over the top acting as is usual with Korean movies/shows Hope Netflix dont try to milk it with a second season though.

Also to add to the above recommended a couple of other films with Iko Uwais: The night comes for us Headshot Also The Villainess is worth checking out. Edited October 4, 2021 by The Realist New guy 1

Yeah I've seen The Night comes for us on Netflix.. Very Gore &, bloody. Will checkout Headshot Uwais is also in a Hollywood action thriller with Mark Whalberg in Mile 22. Ronda Rousey is in there as well. Average reviews but worth watching as it is quite engaging.

New guy Posted October 5, 2021 Posted October 5, 2021 Also would recommend The man from Nowhere and Chocolate for marital arts movies. The former was remade in hindi as rocky handsome but was missing the great action, acting and the screen presence of the hero. John Abraham is so wooden

Most of them have same pattern but still it's a good time pass they are like daily soap kind but only thing good is they dont show same scene again and again. So if i dont get any exciting thing to watch my fall back is alway k-romantic dramas. I watched----Crash Landing on you, I am not robot, It's ok to not be ok , recently started watching home town cha cha cha. I have also watched Kingdom and Squid game they were also fantastic.

Yeah they certainly are better than Indian soaps but episode length is very long for my taste. Squid Game & Kingdom were Netflix original & 50 min long per episode easier to binge. If you have watched both seasons of Kingdom then I suggest also watch its prequel movie released few months ago "Ashin of the north".. This series/Franchise is very dope. Also tells us how Indian cinema has fallen behind. Our soft power in Asia is slowly replaced by K pop & eventually K dramas/movies. Bollywood is on ventilator in my view. Also Alice in the borderland on Netflix is a better version of Squid game... A Japanese manga adaptation. You won't regret it. In my view its better than sqid game.
