In odi- No coz He doesnt bowl , need a 6th bowling option or 5th now that pandya wnt be bowling much in coming months

In t20 - 5th slot is empty so SKY, Kishen , Pant all have their chances all of them shud be ahead and one among iyer or manish shud play not both

Samson is a top 3 player , 5-6 wont work for him

Maybe yes in T20I also can be used as a floater.  We don't have a left hand batsman in MO.  That's why usually get slow when spinners come to bowl..  Especially leggies.

Samson & Kishan in a same lineup also looks tough.

Rahul

Rohit

Samson

Kohli

SKY/Iyer

Kishan

This maybe good enough.

So many people are having 6 specialist  batsmen in the top 6.

With Hardik not bowling, how do they plan to have 5 bowlers  ?

Even if Hardik gets around to bowling a bit, it is his bowling which is causing injuries ... and he should not be given his full quota from here on.

We need Hardik at 6 and 5 bowling options after that.

SKY or Kishan need to bat at 5.

Exactly and even if hardik bowls 10 u need a backup coz anyone can have a bad day or injury

last yr in Wc bhuvi was injured in game against pak, Pandya himself pulled a hamstring in NZ game n somehow completed his overs

Every team has 6-7 bowling options here ppl want max 5 , no backup plan

In ODIs, there is no slot for specialist batsmen or keeper. Rahul at 5, Pandya at 6( and I am sure sooner management will tell him to start picking up his bowling atleast as 6th option) and Jadeja or any other bowling all-rounder at 7. So, no space for now.

In T20s, we have Shreyas Iyer at 4 and Manish Pandey and Sanju Samson are in squad. Personally, SKY and Kishan deserve to be in squad as much as these three. Two of these five have a chance to make no.4 and 5 as their own position. I think SKY and Kishan both can but depends on consistency. Pandya will anyways be no.6.

You want to pack our team with all-rounders but that would backfire more often than not. Pandya and Jadeja come off once in 15-20 games. Then when our team gets bundled out, you'll curse the weak batting line-up.

Pandya and Jadeja are both No. 7s at best. You can't play them both, and if you do, you'll have to drop one bowler.

Are you suggesting dropping Hardik from our T20 playing 11  ?

He will eventually. Are you talking short term or long term? Short term really doesn't matter.

We still need 6 bowling options, to cover for a bad day or niggle.

And even when Hardik bowls, he probably should not bowl his full quota. All his recurring injuries were while bowling.

We need a good spin bowling alrounder. I don't get why selectors don't groom players for particular roles.
