More than anti incumbancy its the core admk vote which has fractured. Brahmins/ upper castes and kallars are with kamal and ttv. Combined it has resulted in a 6 to 7 % loss for admk. Which probably had a core vote of 35%.

PMK needed a win so badly that they gleefully accepted the trojan horse presented by admk. I have to give it to admk This was a clever and cunning move to both dent pmk votebase and make both of them lose their faces in front of pmk cadres. A proverbial "Orae kallula rendu maanga" . Even jaya would be proud of this. OPS had to spill the truth because he will risk losing votes of thevars in his constituency.
