Yeah, he will defend himself with "don't look at the scorecard, look how hard(ly) we competed " bs. I wish he would just go away, have had enough of his toxic presence.

I think two series. A loss at home after a series win abroad with b team will put him under immense pressure. 
 

it is a difficult situation. In his view, he has built this team and he is the best player in the team. All perhaps right. It is difficult for him to leave voluntarily. 
 

Shastri’s power comes from Kohli and vice versa. Difficult to break this éco system. Shastri will have to play a role as a central force to bind the team. I say this with heavy heart.

Kohli building a team is a myth. Kohli has a simple policy just pick the X1 biggest names available and then suddenly drop them and play the next backup if they have a lean patch and go with the next best alternative and then drop them and go back to the big name. That sounds so generic and that’s exactly his captaincy style.

 

In fact Indian selectors have selected every performer or exciting prospect in the last few years be it MSK or the current bunch. These were the guys who won for you in Australia. 
 

Siraj,Saini,Thakur,Gill,Washington etc have been around forever in the scheme of things and they didn’t  even get a chance to play Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

 

Now Sundar is already going to be on the chopping block if he fails here after his heroics just from a few weeks back.

 

Should he have played here is a different debate altogether.

Tbf Sundar needs a few years in domestics, he isn't a test class spinner yet. But hey we've probably had the biggest miracle in our lifetime called Jadeja, say what you will about Dhongi but Ashwin/Jadeja/Rohit heck Kohli himself are his products! Can't think of one name under Brat's captaincy.
