Turning it around in Test #2 -Strategy

Our team can take inspiration ftom what they did in 2017 home series against Aussies.

We were completely outplayed in first test at Pune.

Didn't do well in the first innings of 2nd test at Bangalore but Jadeja inspired a comeback with his bowling and after that we started dominating.

It was one of the intense home series we had in a long time with quite a few controversies like Smith brainfade, Jadeja altercation with Wade etc. We really played like a team where everyone contributed at crucial points and attitude and body language of the team was top notch as if their lives depended on it.

I hope the team just looks back at that series finds a way to fightback.

This we’re getting desperate. Yes this was a bad loss but it’s out freaking 4th loss at home over a decade. If we win toss, the match is sealed. If we lose toss, we need to make sure England are not scoring beyond 400. Get Root out! That’s the simplest strategy.

Ishant generally bowled well, why are people after him? Obviously main issue was picking Sundar and Nadeem as spinners

@OP you are pressing the panic button which ain't needed. Just couple of tweaks needed. Virat will come good with the bat, so will Rohit. 

I have never been fan of panauti Kohli's captaincy but he is the captain & will remain so. His batting numbers will propel his captaincy as it always has. Hopefully he gets a big one next match.

Have been hoping for his big ‘match winning’ knock for a long time. Need the freak batsman Kohli of 2014-15 when he smacked 4 100s against Aus. Need that run machine not the motormouth business minded fool kaptaan.

If we lose the toss ,everything goes out of the window and we might be staring at a series defeat

Let's be honest here Kohli will be captain , rahane won't be dropped. So realistically what we can do is replace Nadeem with Axar and Sundar with Kuldeep. But seeing how well Sundar batted, Kohli would retain him. And if Axar is not fit, he will retain nadeem

Openers should score like it's a test match rather than as if it's an T20i or ODI. That should be the mindset once openers enter the field and then that has to be executed practically. A good foundation will help to post a big score.
