express bowling Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 (edited) ---- Don't panic and go for too many changes. ---- Replace Nadeem with Kuldeep / R.Chahar / Axar. Nadeem was the weak link. The decision must be based on which spinner is bowling well in the nets on a slow pitch. ---- Replacing Ishant with Siraj maybe considered as Siraj is a skiddy pacer and such pacers do better on slow tracks ( Ishant will be needed in the D/N test ). Ishant bowled well but his style of bowling is not suited to picking lots of wickets on slow tracks. ---- Sundar must be retained for his batting. At no.7 we need a batsman who can bowl somewhat ... and he is ideal. ---- Our bowling has been our strength in the last 3 years. The curator must be told not to prepare a pitch which is an awful pata pitch on the first 2 days. A pitch which favours the bowlers a bit ... but not too much help ... is ideal for us. Basically a pitch with a bit of bounce and some help for both spinners and pacers is what we need. ---- Bat Pant at 5 and Sundar at 7. This will create left - right combinations in the middle order. ---- Gill has looked so good when he is batting ... But gets out after lovely looking 50s and 40s. He should be told that he needs to play long innings from now on and concentrate harder after he crosses 30. ---- Senior batsmen Rohit and Rahane must take more responsibility. ---- Don't bowl Sundar when another weak bowler is bowling. ---- Bring in atleast one of your strike bowlers when a wicket falls. Don't allow new batsmen to settle in. ---- Bowling pacers in 3 over spells in the heat of Chennai was the right and smart thing to do in the first test. But if a wicket falls then giving an occasional 4th over maybe considered for pacers. This is just an occasional thing. ---- In general, choosing skiddy quick pacers who can reverse the ball and attack the stumps, is the way to go on slow and low pitches. --- Need spinners who can bowl fast on slow pitches. ---- Catching must improve. ---- Pant must be made to feel comfortable as a keeper ... and not criticised and put under pressure for every mistake. Mayank in Kuldeep who can bat actually Axar I think we should beat England comfortably with those 3 in. Btw how does England get so lucky ? They faced a weakened Lanka team missing 3 of their best players. Now India without Shami umesh and Jadeja. Incredible luck. Still expect india to turn it around. I am scared to even watch the second test and I actually will only watch the first innings lol. Call me whatever you want but I can't handle a home loss. India never loses at home. Just imagine what would have happened to us if he did not score 85 not out. Both Ashwin and Axar are No 8 type batsmen based on current ability. Edited February 10, 2021 by express bowling Mosher 1

Tbf even without them I expect India to win. Pitch ruined it. Pitch deteriorated too fast. Slap that stupid curator.
