Nice article on Kohli's near flawless innings with aroun 99% control

Lot of Kohli-bashing going here, with deserved call for a change of hand in reining the team. But his coming back to form is extremely essential if we have to have a shot at wtc. A nice article from the excellent cricket column writer , Jarrod Kimber. (He used to write frequently for cricinfo, along with the quality part-fun part-serious podcast polite enqueries with George Dobell).

Key point for me - 99% control on a day 5 raging turner with a sinking ship, pure quality batsmanship. If he gets a good chance in 2nd test, batting early 1st and 2nd day, it would be a big step to victory.

I agree. Criticism has to be fair.

Criticize Kohli's captaincy and team selection strongly. He deserves it.

But he batted really well in both the 2nd innings of the 1st test vs England as well as the first innings of the Adelaide test in difficult batting conditions. Scoring 70 odd on both occasions was commendable.

The worst human beings are his PR. I get confident when Gill was batting but never felt that way when LOL was batting. Defeatist batting and poor body language as if everything in the world has conspired against him.

Articles do not get us results. This guy as captain has been absolute disaster in every format and every game. Discussion and issue has been allways around his leadership and selection. We have no chance of winning anything as long as he is leading. So lets not discuss how brilliant or vital he is,  as a bat when we know that we won a series in Australia while him on vacation.

Kohli bashing has been because of his captaincy
