I don't "hate" or "despise" you RR.  Just the nonsense you sometimes spout putting on the crazy hat.  Its the content and opinion I'm responding to, not the person.  I am an optimist, and believe that a lot of 'loud' folks who spout nonsense are capable of evolving their opinions!:p:

I will not evolve my opinion based on what yon like or don’t.

I reserve my right to independent opinion loud or what not.

You can evolve someones’s opinion ( at least mine ) only when you make logical sense  OR

..... when you make bold contrarian calls and turn out to be true more often than not.

Right now you are not making logical sense, you made a contrarian call ( backing chahal opposed to almost all other opinions ) and you have been wrong.

I didn't "back" Chahal anywhere.

All I am saying is that passing judgement based on today's game - with a sub-par score, is not advisable.

And secondly, I have little tolerance for attacking and insulting cricketers based on appearance, etc, or just toxic attacks on them when they are playing badly.

That doesn't translate automatically to me "backing" him.  He has his pros and cons, they are well-known.

Last 21 games, Chahal has been going at over 9 rpo on average. Cannot blame batsmen. 9 rpo is unacceptable, especially when you are barely averaging 1 wicket a game.

There is nothing toxic - it is factual.  There is zero merit in Chahal's selection.

He makes not other contribution to the team.

I'm absolutely fine with this sort of criticsm.

I'm not fine with name-calling - toxic fixation on his physique, his teeth, etc.

It is the manner in which he was clobbered that is worrying . Looks like there is nothing that opposition batters need to know about his bowling hence he was mal-treated .

There are reasons for the decline .

1. At his pace it is very difficult to survive these monster batters , even mis hit goes to boundaries or batsmen have time to hit where there is gap..

2. No Googly . So batsmen need to only worry about Leg break and straighter ones.

3. Once attacked only variation he has is to bowl wide of off stump.

4. At his pace and bounce he gets, much easier to reverse sweep , switch hit than say a Sundar or Varun.

5. So much over exposed in last  4 years .

Have little hope  of him winning KO matches for India vs ENG, WI, NZ  esp.

But he isnt even bowling at his strength, he was at his best when he use to bowl at 6th 7th stump teasing batsman.....currently he is bowling at middle n leg as if he turns it big

Midget also doesn't get bounce or drift to cause trouble.  Rahul Chahar changes his run up or bowls fast leggies to put doubt in batsmen..  Chahal's trajectory is poor.  He never was international material right from his debut against Zimbos.
