King6 Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 I want to Kohli batting in lower middle order in t20is. He is very good player in death overs. India should try sky or pant at number 3 for T20 wc. Kohli have weakness against spin bowling.

We don’t know the answer to it as he hasn’t batted much at this position. express bowling 1
Majestic Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Kohli is best at 3 or 4, let him be there. We all know Shreyas will ultimately be dropped so no.5 position will go to either KL, Pant or SKY. Indian TM can't drop him unless they have valid reasons for that and they are waiting for it. Rohit Kishan Kohli KL/Pant Pant/KL Pandya Jadeja/Tewatia Ultimately, this will be top 7. If Kishan flops at top, then SkY or Shreyas will come in and KL will be back to opening.
ShoonyaSifar Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 (edited) Anywhere Kohli bats, he will need an aggressor at the other end (like Dhoni of post 2013 period in ODIs and T20s). Like Kishan and Pant did in the 2nd T20I, without which Kohli's 73* would have meant nothing. He's way too conservative for the first 25-30 balls, that puts the opposition at the top. Yesterday, no other batsman could bat aggressively for long, pant was getting into the grove but Kohli claimed his wicket. End result his 78* was a match losing innings Him being there with the team or not, will not matter much now. Earlier I used to think he is irreplaceable as a batsman, now even that is not correct.
