I really wanted us to find a 145 k pacer  with white ball skills and FC experience. Bumrah is the only one we have as of now.

Looks like Kuldeep Sen could be a good candidate provided he continues to bowl like this.

I did not watch the match, but does Sen's bowling has swing potential, EB? I think we desperately need one attacking swing bowler like Trent Boult.

Good yorker at 147. Dumbass Harsha still seems surprised that these Indian bowlers can bowl quick.

Indians have this bad habit. Lot of the men are lazy and don't lift weights. So when they see Indians who lift weights often, do power lifting etc they get jealous. They get jealous when they see such physical beasts being able to bowl at pace. Just not used to it because they are pussies themselves and have no self belief. They are sadists. If they cant achieve a powerfully built physique, they expect the same for every other Indian. Too bad india race is too diverse. Many different states have communities that breed strongly built men.

There are literally tons of well built Indians I see on streets here in Australia. Myself included.

Indian players in India tend to lack nutrition due to their financial position I suppose but generally when they have the right nutrition and training regime, many Indians I have seen turn out to be quite well built.

Wah kuldip wah. Terrific pace. I was the first one to rave about him few years ago, watched him at the dy Patil tournament, love his action and will get quicker. Athletic individual. I hate Harsha bhogle for this very reason, kuldip hit 142kph first ball, again 142kph second ball, bhogle not once highlighted his pace didn't ever bother commenting on his action, follow through. Morkel did but again no hype. Some random Meredith comes in and the Aussies hype him to no limits. Also no offence but every time Siraj, shami, umran bowl good speeds all rhetoric and hype begins, somehow I feel their religion plays a part here. Irfan hyping khaleel because he bowled a few deliveries over 140 and finally had a decent outing but probably doesn't even know who Sushant Mishra, dayal and prithviraj Yarra, all three are quicker than khaleel. Dayal and Yarra are 6"2'

Well if someone could guarantee that I wouldn't go to jail for assault, I personally would hang harsha upside down and belt him for free. I hate such Indians. I don't consider them Indians. They should defect and go somewhere else.

Dayal would not be to far away tbh. Akashdeep for me has been the most impressive pacer, Bowling in the middle overs, being an enforcer in his first season is commendable. The pitches have been great and the myth that India cannot produce bouncy wickets is baseless. More of this

Sen gets regular outswing in FC Cricket, bowling with the red ball.  Don't know whether he can swing the white ball as much ... but he can loosely be termed as a fast swing bowler.

But his bowling style is a bit different from Boult in the sense that he is not as dependent on swing to succeed as Boult is ... and is much quicker.

Indian diet has gradually changed over time, staple diets in the past had enough protein, carbs and healthy fats. It was available to most, oil being substituted for ghee, wheat becoming staple over sorghum and bajra. Milk being packaged another one. Still I feel a average rural Indian can survive hardships of life and still come out on top, a average foreigner from a first world country would give up after some time, am not being judgemental but the weak looking small Indian in rural India is actually very wiry and tough.

I like Dayal because of his bounce and swing at sharp pace ... but his death bowling skills are not clear yet.

Akashdeep again is very good with bounce and seam movement at fast-medium pace.  But typical white ball skills are not clear.

Sen has been bowling quick yorkers at will for quite some time now ... and has a decent slower ball. Plus he has genuine pace. His ceiling can be higher and his skillsets are clearer at this point.

I now have a clear picture in my mind of the kind of bowler I wish to see play for India: Ajit Agarkar. A little more pace would be good, but similar in style.

What's your opinion of Agarkar? Do you consider him a trundler? I liked him a lot and always counted on him to pick early wickets with his deceptive pace and swing. But his line and length often went wayward for some reason.

What impresses me about Sen is that he is a skilful pacer and not just hurling the ball at 145 k.

....  Quick yorkers

.....  Zippy channel balls with carry

....  Stump directed skiddy quick balls

....  Slower balls

With good enough accuracy

also most importantly seems to have game awareness and calm under pressure. Wonderful last over. Read the batsman beautifully and that too a reputed hitter like Stoinis.

Given how bad our odi bowling has been lately and the hopeless tail we have and given the lazy fielders we have now, Sir Aggy will walk into this team hands down. I am not sure how many can dispute that.

Agarkar was very sharp when he started. Remember him regularly beating Mark Waugh for pace in his debut match . And he had a whippy action which deceived many batters.

But his problem was lack of height and bounce. He used to hit the sweet spot of the bat a bit too often and go for runs as s result.

Personally I am looking for tall pacers in general unless one is special like Bumrah or express like Umran.

Talking about new pacers .... Combining tall bouncy pacers like Prasidh, Khaleel, Akashdeep with quick and skiddy pacers like Sen and Umran, would be nice.  And also combining quick seam bowlers (  Prasidh, Akashdeep )  and quick swing bowlers ( Sen ) to cover all bases.  (  Although Prasidh can swing the ball too )

Selectors are *ing dumb. They don't even have a clue and we fans know who watch a bit of domestic cricket know a lot more than those who are paid to select and highlight local talent.

this is why even selectors should be chosen in a competitive manner, i.e., have applications, have training, etc. instead, we just choose a bunch of random nepotistic "buffoons" (as amarnath called them once I think) and trust them to select the best out of 1.4 billion.

It is a highly important job, and therefore candidates must be chosen with the greatest care.

Irfan hypes every young talent.  Be it batting or bowling.  Khaleel has been subjected to abuse made a laughing stock by fans.  Some people were laughing at DC for even buying him.

Regarding Bhogle & others they are plain n simple cu*ks when it comes to fast bowling.  Murli Kartik is the worst... Never says good about a young player.

bhogle is such a cringey guy on the whole. I just wonder if he has seen ind cricket from even the days of srinath. he still behaves as though he was locked in the 1970s/1980s
