But see the problem with express pace. Yea it's awesome on screen. Yea it's exciting. Yes ummie is really good. 

 

But bounce is key. Bounce is the killer. Get the line decent. Add the bounce and then charge up to whatever you can. With bounce I would say Max 150 is posisble for even the fastest bowlers ever. Ummie is the fastest in the world right now easily.

In earlier games they often changed his end while giving him a 2 over rest inbetween. It's always good to change something when a bowler is getting mauled.

It's a slow low bounce pitch. Bounce too depends on pitch. A 5'9-10 bowler will always be more skiddy bowler than bouncy. His skiddiness is his strength that makes him feel faster than other bowlers. Bad days happen to every bowler.

It's a learning curve...  I saw Haris Rauf getting man handled earlier in his career & he was 27-28 year old.  Mark Wood as well. But as soon as they learn more about their strengths they start delivering.  Shoaib used to be expensive at times as well.  

Umran can potentially win us another Test series in Australia in 2024.

Oh absolutely. Not a knock on ummie at all. He is a top tier talent. Just saying I like to see more bounce with fast medium and above pace. It's more lethal that way. Yes his height will make him more skiddy on average.

I think ummie would run through England in that one off test. Just unleash him. Use him alot vs tail in particular. 5-10 players target them with short stuff.

Short skiddy quick pacers should look to bowl their stock balls on the shorter half of good length unless the pitch has steep bounce.
