But he is doing well. he bowled a 154.8 k full toss to rohit and rohit missed it, it was so fast. umran has managed 3 wickets already. he gave very few runs in his second over. he is fighting hard for the purple cap. It's very often seen that when a pacer loses rhythm then he loses both control and pace. In case of Umran, some of his most accurate spells have been at 143 k to 153 k. He loses rhythm when he goes for short balls 4 or 5 times an over ... and when he attacks the stumps at high pace, with a few short balls in between, then he maintains rhythm and both high pace and accuracy. singhvivek141 Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 Yes, Umran usually bowls well when he's in range of 143-153..for couple of matches he was trying to stretch and hence went for runs. But good that his natural pace is still quite high. Bhuvi is trying to bowl fast and he's been clobbered today, his natural pace is 125-133. express bowling 1

Medium pacers, especially if they are shorter, have a very small margin for error. Even if they are slightly off in terms of accuracy, they may get clobbered.
